Blue Book 1862 is the last to note that “The Wardens perform the duties of Chinese Protectors when required, without additional pay.” They have not been listed separately here.
The office of Chinese Protector was abolished on 30 June 1860. The set of duties remained with the Wardens of the Gold Fields until some time in 1862.
